28 Best Books for Normals

28 Best Books for Normals

I'm borrowing the phrase "for normals" from one of my favorite podcasts, because it just makes so much sense here. Good book lists are hard to find, and I usually have to search SEVERAL in order to get a good "to read" list going. The New York Times can be too pretentious, the prize winners can be a little too heady, Oprah's can be a little too woo-woo, and Us Weekly, People, and Buzzfeed don't have enough substance. So let me present to you a list of the books I, a normal human, non-English major, with complex interests, recommend from my 2017 reading:

* denotes my favorite of the category;

** denotes a lesser known book worth checking out!
